Machine Gun Kelly
Machine Gun Kelly was born in Texas to parents that were devoted missionary workers. As a result MGK spent much of his youth traveling the world, taking temporary residence in Egypt, Germany, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Denver. Finally his family settled in Cleveland, giving him a place he could finally lay his head and call home. As MGK grew older and found himself on the verge of being thrown out on the street. What did he do? He went to the legendary Apollo Theater and obtained back-to-back victories in the amateur competition. By becoming the first white rapper to ever win, achieving something the great Marshal Mathers could not, MGK solidified himself as one of Harlem’s greats. Soon after he was featured on MTV’s Sucker Free Countdown, gaining himself more national attention. In between appearing on Showtime at the Apollo and being singed to Bad Boy, he released three mixtapes titled: Homecoming, 100 Words And Running, and Lace Up.
In 2011, Bad Boy chose to sign MGK over millions of underground rappers, and soon released his first label-backed mixtape Rage Pack. The national attention gained by the highly popular single “Wild Boy” (featuring Waka Flaka Flame) built the much-needed buzz for his upcoming album Lace Up expected to drop this summer. So in the spirit of MGK let some of your inner Wild Boy loose this summer by blasting his album around your town.

I like MGK a lot, but who is this Los guy? I’d like to have a listen
