CrankThatBass – Beats of the Week: Vol. 1

These days, new music comes out daily and replaces the music that was released the day before.  It can be hard to keep up with all these new types of music.  Dubstep, house, trap, electro, and hip-hop are just a fraction of the different genres out there.  The purpose of these weekly posts (this being the first) is to make it easy for you guys.  We’re going to give you the best songs of the week all in one convenient post.  Forget those endless searches to satisfy your music crave, we got you covered.

New Justin Timberlake?!?  The last time Justin Timberlake released an album was 2006.  That was quite some time ago.  He teams up with Jay-Z for the first single off of his upcoming album.  This one will be all over the radio in no time.

*Bonus Track*

I saw this remix of “Sexy Back” and I just couldn’t resist.

Whenever GRiZ releases a track, it’s fire.  Well, this guy Jackson Breit has made a vocal remix to GRiZ’s “You Got To Change” and it’s FIRE!  This is one of those songs where you just nod your head to the beat.  Believe me, this beat is contagious.  Grab this song while it is free. Check out Jackson Breit on Facebook.

Baauer blew up the trap scene in 2012 with his hit “Harlem Shake” (if you haven’t heard that song yet, I HIGHLY recommend checking it out).  It’s only January and we already have a radio rip of some new Baauer.  This is some hard-hitting trap right here.  Get used to hearing the name Baauer because he is quickly making a name for himself.

I think this gif is the best way I can describe this next song which is a mix of some TNGHT and Kanye West’s “Clique.”  These samples fit perfectly together and it gives a fresh twist to this hit song.

I have been a fan of Styles & Complete ever since I first heard them.  The way they mash-up beats and create drops is so different from anything I have ever heard.  If you want a song to work out to/rage to/party to or whatever then check this out.  Please rage responsibly, and legally (or don’t, we won’t tell).

So this guy Luminox has been remixing songs and turning them into trap bangers.  Luminox absolutely destroyed this beat and if you don’t believe me just hit play.

All mash-ups these days seem to be just one of the same.  It really is a shame too, because personally I love to hear new and interesting mash-ups that turn an original song on its head.  The Hood Internet is a veteran in the mashup game and they produce some lovely head-bobbing material.

After sifting through the all the songs and videos that have been released this week, I think I have found a favorite.  This is the music video for G-Eazy’s song “Loaded” featuring DJ Carnage (who by the way has been tearing up the trap game).  This just makes me miss Summer.  If you want to hear more G-Eazy, download his latest album here.

Two weeks ago, Butch Clancy announced that he would start something known as “Trap Tuesdays.  A free trap song every week.  With each release I am more convinced that this guy is my favorite trap artist.

I am always looking and trying to find new artists in the rap game.  SUBMiT caught my attention with this music video and to be honest, I am impressed.  I love the beat and the lyrics are raw.  Download his latest mixtape here.

Sometimes I listen to the radio and I am just amazed at how horrible the songs they play are.  All of the songs are the same, and I know that isn’t going to change anytime soon.  That’s why I have taken to the underground when it comes to music.  For my last post this week, I would like to leave you all with some of that 90s hip-hop flavor we all thought was dead.  Dillon Cooper’s breathed life into 90s hip-hop and revived it.  Remember this kid, he is going places!

Before I wrap this post up, I would like to thank QuimDigital for giving us a chance to share this music with you.  If you enjoyed this post, share it with your friends and like CrankThatBass on Facebook to get new music pushed into your newsfeed daily. See you all next week!

Thanks for all the new tracks. My iTunes definitely appreciates it! Could you do an EDM/House selection for next week?
