Good friend, and stand up comedian, Alan Peterson, pointed me towards the latest visual from Marshall Street Records. Marshall Street Records is a hip-hop group from Syracuse University, in New York. The “Live From the 315″ music video is the first visual for the recently released Live From the 315 project.
This video epitomizes the latest “underground” movement of hip-hop, college/frat rap. Over the last couple years there has been an explosion of artists creating music for college-aged people, about the college lifestyle. The BLACKout Magazine did an excellent article defining and discussing the frat rap trend. How do you all feel about this latest turn hip-hop has taken?
